As a kid my little brother was sitting in the den and asked my grandma could he ride the horse and she asked what horse and he said that one that is running down the hall. You could also hear someone pull up in the drive way the car door would shut, and the screen door would open but noone or no car was there. Nevertheless, it's a bloodcurdling phantom that should be shunned. The ghost of a young female with a cord around her neck may regularly be noticed going berserk in a row boat on Catfish Lake. Local people who have seen this spirit claim this spirit is the undeceased spirit of a long dead Bentonia local person.
