You could also hear someone pull up in the drive way the car door would shut, and the screen door would open but noone or no car was there. She lived on the outskirts of bentonia in a lil town called Pheonix. Several folks who live here argue these descriptions are lies, but the things that go down here in Bentonia during the night will freak you out. These are some of the spooky       things that have happened here recently. A man having a sword in his head has supposedly been made out on one or two instances seeking a box by Balfour Creek. A guy's body having the head of a lizard may from time to time be perceived late in the night checking out Mound Bluff. In any event, it's sure a chilling spirit that any   normal person wouldn't want to come across. The ghost of a man clutching a sword was seen next to the water at Catfish Lake smoking a cigar. When the ghost was witnessed it disappeared into the thin air. If you talk to the people who live here, this spirit is the spirit of a visitor that was murdered while traveling through Bentonia some decades ago.
