Byhalia, Mississippi Ghost Sightings
I found a piece of paper that my late mother had written. It looked like she was taking notes while talking on the phone. ''Been to Tulsa (convention). Murdered. Something in pocket gone. Stepped off train in Byhalia. Found beside railroad tracks (dead) (in uniform).'' Any idea who that may have been or have you heard this story? Might account for the haunted rail road tracks!.|

I'm surprised how few people in Byhalia seem to know about the haunted railroad tracks running through town. It's the old story about a hobo that was hit by a train and died and now haunts the tracks. It's a common story I know, but that doesn't make it any less true.
The hobo in question was run over by a westbound train early in the morning and now whenever a westbound train passes through town early in the morning you can sometimes see a glowing silhouette of a man by the tracks.|
That's him. The hobo. Don't believe me? Go check it out and you will.

Comment by Amanda: Back in 89 my grandfather got killed at Ingringram's Mill in Byhalia on his way to work one morning by a train. He's no hobo though. I'm not sure if that's who your talking about but his name was Robert.
