Footsteps on the upstairs hardwood floors. Knocking on different room doors and muffled voices. On Many of those times I'd walk towards the sounds and found nothing. These Odd things began to worry us because we couldn't find an explanation. The noises got louder and erratic. You didn't know when it would happen. We talked about selling the place and moving. The stress from lost sleep and     weird happenings were to much. A realtor agreed to sell the house and we moved to an apartment. 6 months later Hurricane katrina hit the coast.
