My husband and I were travelling throughout Mississippi and decided we should stay in Natchez. We came upon the beautiful Eola hotel and decided to check
in. As soon as we walked into our rather small room I made eye contact with an older man that came right out of the mid 1900s.
He was standing in the
corner of our room. He did recognize that I actually saw him. I did not want to upset my husband for he did not see this apparition so I went into the
bathroom and had a quick chat with this fellow.
I told him that yes I did recognize he was there and I did not want to see or know from him. I told
him to make himself scarce. I did not see him again that night but felt very unsettled. We checked out the next night.

It started out as a great vacation to Florida and making our way back up through Mississippi. I love going to majestic hotels. I decided to book a very nice hotel in Natchez. It is a grand hotel made in the 1920s with marble black floors, brass elevators, marble columns and a rich history. It was me and my husband and son staying on the seventh floor. The room we had faced the street. It was room 712. It was the center top most room with big double windows on either side. The desk down in the lobby informed me that the room we were in was haunted, and they had investigated it many times. I love ghost hunting, but I'm no pro by any means. I just brushed it off and went up the elevator, and when we got off the elevator the hall was really dim. It was just a straight path to our room. There were two doors facing each other on the sides of our room. Both occupied by sweet elderly people that never made a noise.
At about 9:00 pm I decided to go back down the lobby and hear a little more about this supposedly haunted hotel. I got down there and a very nice guy in his late 20s told me he had been working the desk. It was about lunch time, and no one was in the lobby. He saw a blond little girl with a frilly dress go by quickly out of the corner of his eye. He jumped up and walked around the lobby calling to the little girl fearing that she was lost. But to no avail he did not see her again. The manager showed up later that day, and the desk clerk asked if he had seen a little girl in a frilly dress go by that seemed to be running the lobby and around the hotel but never found her. The manager laughed and said he had seen Eola. Her family lived on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The manager didn't seem upset or disturbed by it like it was natural! He also said there was a doctor that lived in the hotel on the seventh floor in 712!!!! Yes, that was the room we were staying in! He supposedly hanged himself or shot himself in that room. You could supposedly hear him running around at night on that floor. He supposedly helped the elderly with aches and pains, and by morning their ailments were gone which seemed nice, right?
