Terry, Mississippi Ghost Tales I used to live in a large two story house on Midway Road from 2002 to 2007. My room was constantly cold. In the nights, at least once a week, I woke up and heard a tapping noise. It sounded like someone tapping on my bedroom walls from the inside. I saw no one. I counted the taps-there were 18 in all; they seemed to travel around the walls in a circle formation (with 2 second ''breaks'' in between each tap. I saw things too. On one occasion, I was outside swinging on the swingset that had been in our backyard when we had purchased the house. I looked over my shoulder towards the backdoor of the house,       and I saw a boy at the window. He was very youg, 10 at most, and he was staring out at me. At first I thought he was my mother and waved to the figure in the window...he didn't wave back...he vanished   like smoke. When I came insine a few moments later, I found that the only ones at home were my mother and baby sister...they had been in the shower for the last half hour. The last thing I saw in that house, was in my bedroom. I awoke to the sensation of someone tugging on my arm urgently. When I opened my eyes, I saw a pale, white girl of about 12 years old holding my hand, looking at me with wide fearful eyes. She had long, dark, almost curly hair. She was wearing a long, white nightgown. She gave my arm one last tug, then she spun around in a circle with her arms above her head and vanished just like the little black boy did. Submitted by C. The phantoms of this settlement don’t leave anyone unscared. People who have never spent the night in this settlement will surely tell you it's lies, but Terry is bursting with tormented souls just waiting to freak you out. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a 10 feet high massive man showed up at A W Wright Pond Dam late in the night glugging down gasoline. When the ghost was made out it disappeared into the thin air. If you listen to what the locals argue, this ghost is the tormented soul of a long dead Terry local. The ghost of an adolescent girl was observed pulling a body from the freezing water of Beaverdam Creek before dawn. The ghost was gobbled up by the air after being perceived. The spirit of a lady with half her head absent emerged checking out Wansley Bend at midnight. When witnessed the ghost came near the watcher who then fled. No matter what people utter, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that any wise person wouldn't wish to encounter.
