First of all, you should know that the man hung from the bridge was named Dick Drummonds (thusly why it's named 'Drummond's Bridge). He never commited suicide here or murdered anyone (as far as I know). He was hung from the bridge (which is actually and old train trussel) for openly speaking out against the Coal Creek War which was occuring at the time. Suicide, no. Murder, yes. I highly doubt that anyone saw someone with a knife, and if you did, then it was someone playing a trick (a favorite past-time of the youth who live in this isolated community).
Having been to the bridge myself, I have never had a personal experiece, but I do know credible people who have. If you want real evidence, you should go there yourself. I do have a link for the investigation that we did here with our paranormal group.

On this page is also the information from the investigation which took place at red ash cemetery (located about 10 miles away in Caryville, Tn). Feel free to check the out along with the other pages of investigations.
(the picture I uploaded is of the actual trussel where Drummond's was killed)
