Christiana, Tennessee Ghost Tales When I was a young boy, I lived in a house opposite the Miller Graveyard. From my bedroom you could see out of two windows. One night around the witching hour, I saw a glowing gray man shape walk slowly from one window to the next. Scared I jumped up to see what it was. The man shape walked towards the South field, and as got closer to the fields edge he disappeared. There were other things that happened, but this was the most clear memory. Their mother woke up in the middle of the night and heard chains being dragged up the stairs of their home. She got up and went upstairs to check on the children, and both of them had died. She believed that the sound she heard was the sound of death [the grim reaper] going up the stairs, dragging his chains on his way to get the children. Now if you go to the home at night and sit at the foot of       the stairs you can sometimes hear chains being dragged up and down the stairs.
