I was at the Fort Loudon dam, fishing late one night. Alone. I was up close to the dam, maybe 20 feet away, I had heard the catfish bit better closer to the dam when the water was not running. I had been there for about 3 hours with no distractions, when all of the sudden around 2:30a.m.I turned to my left to get a drink from my cooler, when to my shock, I found I was no longer alone. There was literally a man sitting on my cooler. I'm convinced he meant no harm to me. He just sat there, seeming to ignore my every attempt to engage a conversation. He seemed content simply with my company. A good 45 minutes went by at which point I had given up on trying to get a name or anything, much less talk. When all of the sudden he looked up and said to me ''sure's been a long'en''. Supprised with the break in the silence, I turned to him to reply, and he was simply gone. It was as he had actually just vanished. I think he was the spirit of one of the many workers who had died building the dam. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

My sister was watching the tele. She claimed a blue and black boy with red eyes started to come up from her floor. She ran to my mom's room. Unaware of my sisters presence she woke up with my sister bug-eyed in her face screaming. They went to her room where an article of clothing lay on the floor.

My friend and I went to a nearby cemetery when we were disturbed by a man talking in the background. We turned around with chills running down our spines. We happened to see a couple and a child in front of our eyes, it seemed to get closer and then out of nowhere they disappeared. I thought it was? my deceased aunt and uncle and my baby cousin. This sighting had happened before, that is what my Mimi said. But that means that they hadn't moved on and are not ready to leave the comfort of Lenoir city and their family and friends I replied but? I think they just wanted to see a face that was familiar. But this encounter happened nearly 2weeks ago.

My friend and I were outside walking my dog around 9:30 when a woman in night gown was walking around my moms garden. We thought it was my neighbor Mrs. Moss but? we could see right through her. We asked in fear if something was wrong she just looked up at me and continued

to walk. my dog went over to the woman and started to sniff the woman fled and disintegrated till there was nothing left and to this day u can hear an old woman moaning and groaning. but no other encounters have happened.
