We were told that part of the stones River battle was fought on the Hill we lived on and at a nearby location an old farmhouse was turned into a hospital. Unmarked graves were rumored to be in the subdivision. We had at least one ''spirit'' in our house. The shadow figure would make a run from upstairs to downstairs and back. We never Felt threatened by this     spirit but knew it was there. One morning before I got out of bed I heard clattering in the kitchen and presumed it was one of the boys fixing breakfast. In just a few minutes I got out of bed and found no one in the kitchen and the boys were sound asleep in their beds upstairs. Later on after the boys got up I asked them if either of them had been in the kitchen that morning and they both replied an absolute no!!
