Murfreesboro, Tennessee Ghost Tales Around three years ago my grandma was up in her bedroom sleeping late at night. All of a sudden she heard something and woke up. Right before her eyes was a woman, her own dead grandmother dressed in her white nightgown. My grandma then started to yell grandma, but then she just disappeared. One year later, my grandma's brother was at her house, and went into their old grandma's room just to think of old memories and stuff. When there grandma was still alive she was blind and would shuffle her feet across the floor to walk. When they were in there they started to hear as if shuffling feet across the floor, as if there grandma was still there. Then they looked toward the old wooden dresser she used to have all her books and stuff scattered across. Well than, they started to hear a knocking and a moving sound on the dresser, just like there grandma would do. You might think this is just fake, but my grandma told me to my face it was real and did happen. I believe her. Submitted by Gabby       Categories:       home, relatives, sounds When I first moved to Murfreesboro 11 years ago I was awakened several times at night to see a man standing to the left of my bed and a woman to the right. They stood over me as if they were watching me sleep. They were both dressed in clothes of the civil war day, he in drab colors and she in a hoop skirt and long   sleeves on her dress. I was not particularly frightened and they left after I saw them. Over the years I always attributed it to just a dream that I was waking up from, however after reading all the other ghost sightings in this area, the fact that it was always the same couple and they were always dressed the same I am beginning to wonder if they are haunting my house. I kept this sighting from others because I did not want them to think I am nuts. I have not seen the couple in a long time but I still wake up to the sound to an electric ''pop'' which seems to cause a light behind my closed eyes. My computer is in my bedroom but it does not restart or wake up from sleep mode like it would with a power surge. I don't know what is causing that ''pop'', I feel it and see it and it wakes me up. Anyone else experienced anything like that?.
