Ocoee, Tennessee Ghost Tales


To the outsider Ocoee, Tennessee appears like your standard settlement, but there are ghosts in this settlement, and they come into sight in the dark hours. Some of the deceased won't pass on in this town. Some locals assert there are no ghosts, but the undead souls of Ocoee are all too real.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A soldier's outfit wandering around with no body in it was spotted looking at Cates Bend before dawn. There are additional accounts with reference to this ghost in the area.

The ghost of a civil war fighter came into view shining a lantern beside Carden Spring before sunrise. Further people in close proximity have had equivalent experiences with a quite similar ghost. In any event, this ghost sure is creepy; one that you do not want to come across at night.

The ghost of a gentleman with satanic symbols etched into his leg came into view at C C Blankenship Dam on a dark night looking at the view. This is one of those ghosts that is seen
 
    very frequently around here.

The spirit of an engine driver was witnessed fly fishing from the water's edge of C C Blankenship Lake very late at night. The phantom didn't mind that there was somebody else near.

A woman devoid of a head was witnessed looking at the sight from the pinnacle of Little Mountain on a dark night. When the onlooker became visible the ghost ran off.
