Several years ago Gary moved to Pegram in Hickory Hollow. He attempted to teach native folk and herbal medicine. One night a group sat around the giant ''sweat lodge,'' and stories were told including what the locals interpreted as a woman screaming. Reports went out to the sheriff and soon a ''swat team'' crawled on their bellies and charged the group and frightened them enough to move out and never to return. The sheriff reported that they had ''reports of human sacrifice.'' I still get shivers when I drive past Hickory Hollow and the Pegram town hall.

There have been a number of mysterious fires in Pegram, and the fire department has a hard time putting them out. Sometimes they think they have them put out, but they start back up after the trucks leave. The old Mangrum and Pendergrass Bi-Rite store recently burned. Most of the businesses open for a while, and suddenly they are gone. It is mysterious that one of the long time workers passed away, and the store burned not long after. Pegram is more than haunted. It is downright weird. Find out for yourself!.

I lived there for a year and a half and still return quite often. I have wondered all over the grounds at night, and been over much of the woods at night. There are no ghosts. There are however hunters in the woods.
If anyone comes looking for ghost on Cave Springs property they will pass multiple ''no trespassing'' signs and will end up either shot by a hunter or arrested for trespassing. There are also many cameras so if you trespass you will be recorded.
