standing where I had seen him. It's a drop off right there.
Scared but more curious than anything I went home and told a family member that was born on the same road but closer to the highway what I had seen. He said a few people had said the same thing. One night when he was a kid he and his older brother were riding bikes down that way. It was dusk out, so they decided to turn around and go back home when they saw lights coming from a house,
but there was no longer a house there. He said they were so scared; they couldn't even pass the driveway to go home. He said he and his brother waited
until someone came looking for them to leave the spot where they were. Needless to say, they stopped riding their bikes down that road then.|

Comment by Spooky: My mom was babysitting at this house, and my mom read up on the house. She read that a little kid got ran over at a certain time. The kid she was watching who is the sweetest kid ever at a certain time would go crazy. She tried to stab my mom in the eye. The dog wagged his tail so hard that it bled. The kid sounded like she was talking to a person when she took a nap, and it sounded like something or someone talked back to her.
Comment by Tony: I'm going to check with my parents tomorrow, but this sounds like the house we moved into in the 70s. I was about seven or so. I was born in 1968. Anyway, we moved from Illinois it was about 130 acre, a hay farm. I remember it had a flat rock wall around the property that slaves had built. I kind of remember an old church run down being on the property or something like that and a small river or creek in the back property. It was a very nice brick ranch home with river rock driveway. I remember looking for arrowheads in it and finding them.
Anyway, one night my brother and I slept in the same room on bunk beds. At about midnight or so, I think, he yelled at me to stop shaking the bed. After he woke me up yelling I lay there barely breathing. I didn't move or make a sound. Then a minute later it started going back and forth again violently, so he thought it was me, so he kicked me out. I grabbed my blanket and pillow, and I went to living room to sleep on the couch. A few minutes later I heard three huge echoing knocks and out came my brother. He said it kept shaking after I left, so he got scared to.
The next day we told our parents, and they had two priests come out and bless the house. After that I don't remember anything else happening other than my sister hearing fingernails tapping on her outside bedroom window, but not long after my parents auctioned off sections of the property and everything else. Later we moved to Missouri, but I know the person that bought the property from us. They said a little boy or girl (don't remember which) died in front on the highway. They said to the other ''don't go.'' All they heard was ''go'' in front of a car, so not sure if it was that spirit or one or more of the slaves?
Anyway, the story posted earlier sounded very close, so I didn't know if it is one and the same? If it is the same, then we were the family that bought and moved in in the 70s, and that King name sounds familiar also? If so, can someone please email me? I would like to know more since I was so young at the time, and those were different times in the 70s. Being 50 now I would like to know everything I can. We have tons of pictures from when we were there. We'll have to go back over those pictures and see if anything is in the background in any of them? Never gave that a thought till now. Thank you Tony tm5797 @live.com.
