Bloomfield, Indiana Ghost Tales I once stayed in what was a bed and breakfast on the corner of Main and Lewis St. I've heard several stories about the old Victorian home. After Staying a couple of nights I would am trying to research it. I've had doors lock behind me.... windows open and close. The old door bell which is a turn style bell ring with no way to get to it being sandwiched between a locked storm door. A tub of the original house tins be thrown across the basement about 10 feet from the original location with only myself and 1 other in the house. Having not said anything about what I experienced another family member reported that she woke in the night by a woman's voice asking her to check the baby.... The baby was fast asleep and so was everyone else in the home. The ghost of a young cowboy is often spotted on the highest spot of Fairplay Mound on a dark night looking at the sight. A frightening being has been distinguished on a small number of occasions in Bear Hollow around midnight searching for a box. The phantom of a man clad as a plumber can often be spotted before sunrise stopping by Bogard Bottoms. One thing is for certain, it's a creepy ghost that should be avoided. The ghost of a man in a police uniform can be spotted often taking in the landscape at Beechwood Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise. Whichever way, it's undeniably a creepy ghost that is better not upset. The spirit of an old gentleman with a large white mustache has from time to time been distinguished smoking a cigar down beside Rankin Spring before dawn.
