Canaan, Indiana Ghost Tales I was raised in Canaan Indiana by my granny my fathers mother .She past away some years after I left to live with mother in Texas. I moved back in the late 80's I normally stand in my aunts yard or on her porch and I hear her call my name, my uncle can hear it to. Since recently losing my drivers license do to medical reasons, I haven't got the visit as much as normal. I don't hear her voice call me like she did when I was a child, I am afraid she thinks I left again, and she doesn't know I am still here and can't go there as much as  I used to, will update on next visit, hope to hear her voice. A female's body with an animal's head has been said to have been perceived on numerous instances in Blacksnake Hollow on a dark night struggling to grip something. Regardless of what folks articulate, it's undoubtedly a terrifying spirit that is preferably not messed with. A   gentleman with the head of a leprechaun can now and then be spotted after midnight floating down on Benham Branch. One thing's for sure, this is an intimidating ghost that you wouldn't want to come across before dawn.
