Cannelton, Indiana Ghost Tales I used to live in the Hollow in Cannelton where the coal mine used to be.  Weird things happen to many people who still live in the area.  I used to see a dark, smokey spirit float around my house.  I could never make out its face but I guess it had something to do with the coal mining cave that was basically in my backyard.  We lived on the dead end of the Hollow where construction tore through for the new highway.
