The doctor came one Day and told her that the old woman wasn't long for the world. The Day came all knew she was about to pass on. She asked if there was something special she would like to eat. Chicken soup. Well they had no chickens and it was the depression. Gm went to ask the people in town if anyone would     spare a Chicken and none would. Why waste a Chicken on someone who was going to die soon anyway? As gm walked out of one yard the Gate wouldn't close and a Chicken followed her down the road. Three times she tried to shoo the bird back into the yard. Finally she looked around saw no one picked up the Chicken wrung its neck and took it Home and made the old lady her Chicken soup. The next morning she died. At the funeral everyone in town came and acted so sorry. They all laid a flower on the grave gm last in line.
