I grew up in this town. It is not nor has it ever been haunted. It is a very different place, sleepy town doesn't quite cover it. I left ft. Branch for nyc in 1996. The only time I have returned is when there is a death in the family. Not much to do except fishing and telling tall tales. I bet some kid told this story and general hysteria has spread. There is not much else to do. This is the sort of town where everyone knows everyone and some way or another everyone's family is related by marriage or blood.

It is a great place to instill basic morals and community in your children. Here you will truly find a ''village to raise your children with you. '' there was a lot of racism in this town when I was a child, that part never found it's way into my heart.
