Fort Wayne, Indiana Ghost Tales I have lived in Fort Wayne all my life and about 2 years ago my neighbor's daughter died at the young age of 6 from cancer, it was a hard time when she passed on, so I would often hear her calling my name as if so was in trouble, I would run down my stairs to see if it was her. It never was except on the day she died I heard it and ran and there she was but soon after I got a glimpse of her she disappeared. Submitted by SNH       Categories: home, girls, voices When I was a teenager, I heard about a legend that took place on Till Road in Ft. Wayne. Till Road is off of Lima Road. People told me and my sister that this house had burned down 3 times and all that was left was the ruins of the basement and some burned toys. They said if you go up there at night and call out a name, you could hear her cries. Also you would be able to see red eyes in the boiler room. My friends and I visited the site a few times. There were four of us the first time. We were too afraid to call out the name but we       saw glowing eyes in the boiler room so we ran down the hill. As we were running, one of the guys fell and screamed out that something grabbed his ankles. Once we got to the car, there were small handprints all over it! The next time we went, we backed the car in so we could leave a little faster if something were to happen. We heard a girl's voice   which caused us again to run to the car at the bottom of the hill. We saw eyes in the bushes on the way down. To our surprise, the car was no longer backed in to the driveway. That was the last time I visited that spot. I have heard many other stories about that spot, but don't know if it is still there. This was ten years ago. Submitted by Nicole       Categories: home, fire, girls When we first moved into our home 3 years ago on Lynn avenue in Fort Wayne we would hear hard soled boots in the kitchen at night. At other times the whole house would shake and sound like the doors were slamming shut. More recently my husband woke up to someone running half way up the steps and back down. He went to check and all the doors were locked and no one else around but us. The animals were on the bed next to us so it wasn't them...and he has also seen a green glowing male torso in our bedroom... They don't seem to be aggressive, just curious. So far and those have quieted down or gone away when asked...I would like to find out more history of the area we live in. When we dig in our yard we find burnt bricks and such and wonder if there had been a building there many years ago that burned down...I can find no answers anywhere...If you dig up something let me know...
