The House was old and had an coal pit in the basement I was always terrified of that pit and one Day I had reason for that fear. I was Home alone and was doing dishes in the kitchen when I heard a noise. I turned around and saw the basement door open and then close followed by the back door opening and then again closing. The basement door was directly across     from the backdoor so it was if something was walking through. The Odd thing was that the backdoor had a deadbolt lock on it and the door had been locked because it was Winter and we kept the dogs on the enclosed back porch.
