Kokomo, Indiana Ghost Sightings - PAGE 8
(...continued from the previous page)|
At night the rocking chair in the living room would rock. Some nights sitting in the living room I could hear snoring coming from my bedroom when no one was in there. Later on before I moved out I found out from a neighbor a lady had died there from being sick. She passed away in my bedroom. She was never scary, but I could tell she was still around and letting her presence be known. She was like another family member. Truth be told, I felt very
sad for her.|

When I was about the age of nine, my father and his wife moved into this old house that everyone moved out of from time to time. The first night there was my last. We didn't have much inside yet, so it was quite empty and unsettling. I had a mid-size room and a small bed across from my bedroom door on the right side. When it came around 1:00 am, everyone was asleep except for me. I was restless; I did not feel right. I kept hearing the sound of hooves walking down the hall outside my room. I thought it was the sound of my father, so I wasn't so frightened, but then my door peeked open. A black shadow was fogging up the space between the door and the wall. I held onto to my blankets. I did not scream or make noise. I just lay there watching it. It came closer. As it did, it came into a figure of some kind of bull. Just a few feet from my bed it ran at me making a load roaring sound. I began to scream and kicked my feet at it. Soon it faded away as did the sound. I ran to my stepmother and shook her. Back then I thought it was Big Ben's ghost trying to haunt me, and that was what I told her. Of course she didn't believe me. Told me it was just a dream. I slept with her and my father for the rest of the night.
My father and she did not experience any activity, only me. I didn't go back to that house with him. Well, not when the sun began to set. I would always ask to go home, though he would get upset, he would hesitate and do so. After a few weeks went by they moved out. I never knew why though, unsuiting I suppose, or that they heard or saw something. Though I grow older and older each year, I'll never know what was in that house. Each year the memory fades more and more, like it was just a dream. Till this day nobody truly believes me. It's been 6 years now, almost 7. At times I still dream about it. That night showed me that there is more than what meets the eye.
