My family and I moved in our home in Martinsville about 5 years ago. The house was had just been built. I beieve our home may be haunted because at 2:30 am every night the TV in my kids play room would come on, and the volume would gradually go up with white snow noise and both my kids would tell me the often saw an old man walk out of that room right after the TV came on and that the old man would sit on the stairs and talk to them.
They told me the old man once farmed here and that he was looking for his family. My kids told me the old man wore bins a blue shirt and a John deer hat and his clothes were worn and dirty like he had been working outside.
I have never seen him myself but often hear footsteps in the middle of the night upstairs from my youngest sons room to the stairs and the times I have heard these steps both my kids have been in my bed.

Comment by Cheryl: Hi my daughter in law Brittany and I were reading your story and it sounds very interesting. We deeply believe in spirits and the afterlife. We have much proof that they do exist. We have done ghost hunting ourselves and would like to see if we can help you and maybe get proof of what's happening in your home.
We are not professional but we do have some equipment and have had many experiences. It would be no charge and this would benefit you as well as a good start our upcoming business and you can contact us either at cheryl_lynn1112@ yahoo. Com or Brittanynroger @yahoo.com.

The 'old hickory farm' house is was in my family for years and I would go to sleep every night listening to the sounds of my deceased great-great grandparents talking in the living room with me laying on the couch.
