My aunt owned a house on ekin Avenue in New Albany that was supposedly haunted by a rather malevolent ghost of a man. There were all sorts of stories about the man appearing and frightening people a dog that was beaten by a disembodied arm sounds of breathing and strange lights in the upstairs windows.
I only went inside when I was little but I remember that sometime after it was sold the next occupant put a huge portrait or something in the front porch this giant face that you could clearly see from the road.

Comment by Sarah: This property is owned by my uncle. He told me when I was a child that the police had found the body of a man in a steamer trunk in the house back in the 30s. That is supposedly who haunts the house. I don't know if its' true but the basement always scared me.

Comment by anonymous: All I can say to Scott, you are right on target about this house. My aunt Elizabeth's house on Ekin Avenue was haunted. I can remember very well. We were young kids, and things went on there that would make our hair raise. Especially one night we spent the night upstairs in the attic. There were a notched wall on both sides. My cousins had two twin beds. One of the beds was close to front window, and other close to the stairs. They also had a metal cabinet. This night I'll never forget the cabinet doors opened and closed, and the window was going up and down. .
