I finally found posts with Ekin Avenue in them, but it didn't say which one. I lived on Ekin for a year. After about six months, I noticed a few little things. I saw some shadows moving that shouldn't be there. My twin's Elmo talking in the middle of the night, and once I left an empty pop can on the floor by my chair. I woke up the next morning to find it sitting upright in the middle of my recliner cushion. Just like someone picked it up and put it there.
Those things made me uneasy, but the next thing scared me. I got up in the middle of the night for my usual 2:30 am bowl of cereal. As soon as I got back to bed and my head hit the pillow, I heard a big crash. I knew what and where in the house it was from just from the sounds. I waited but heard no footsteps, so I pretty much knew it was pointless to go back down and look. I forced myself back to sleep. When I hung that shelf back up the next day, I beat the wall with my fist, there was no way it fell without help.
Any night after that when I had my late night snack, I had a really strong feeling as if someone was breathing down my neck right behind me. It never bothered my wife or kids, and surprisingly the dogs didn't seem bothered at all. I guess it was me it didn't like. If that house had an attic or crawlspace, it had been sealed off. I never did find an opening. It had a little half basement that was kind of creepy though. A pretty cool old house. But I'd never sleep there again.
