New Castle, Indiana Ghost Tales Batsons cemetery is very haunted. People have seen a woman in the south east corner of the cemetery. People have also seen lights at night. Submitted by TY       Category: cemetery Monkey Jack bridge is close to where I live in New Castle, IN. It's the story about the bridge that is spine-chilling. One night a woman was out late in a diner. She left her baby in the car. When she came out of the diner she was tired and decided to take the short way home, and that was over monkey jack bridge. It was a full moon night.While the woman was driving on the bridge somehow a deer ran infront of the car and she swerved of the bridge, plunging into the creek below.When the police and ambulance arrived they saw the woman was alive, but she ws frantic because she could'nt find her baby. They looked and looked for her baby, but they never found the child. That was many years ago, but to this day you can hear the baby crying on a full moon night. From my own experiences, I believe all of this is true. I've       been to the bridge before, on a full moon night and i've heard the baby's crying. Submitted by Taylor       Categories: bridge, car_accident, baby, sounds I used to work at a nursing home called the Heritage House located in New Castle, IN .  I have encountered many spooky situations I worked the grave   yard shift 10 till 6 am . Some nights I would find myself darting from one end of the hall to the next due to the fact it felt as if someone was following me from room to room.  The scariest for me is to hear many of our residents complain of a little boy playing in their rooms, as well as a man and a woman dressed in old fashioned clothing. These said people would come  to the residents and just stand their in front of them some of the residents  would carry conversation s with these frightening beings.  Their has been sightings of little children playing from room to room harassing patients. One time a man in my care was so frightened one late night I tried to walk him to his room and he stood frozen looking  out the north side sunroom window I asked him over and over what he saw and he then turned his head at me and said ALL OF THEM I said all of who and he pointed outside into the courtyard and said ALL OF THOSE KIDS I was so scared . Most of the disturbing activity took place on the north side of the building. Ask anyone who lives their or is employed their and they will say the same. The building is haunted by the MAN IN BLACK .
