Plainfield, Indiana Ghost Tales A few weeks ago while driving through Plainfield around 5AM. I was traveling down South Center Street and turned east on to Stafford Road and then right there at the conjunction of East Street, Stafford Road, Center Street and Highlander Drive right up on the grassy area I could have sworn I saw a ghost or something of the paranormal. It just seemed to be gray-like haze hovering about a foot or so off the ground. There was no wind and the weather was calm. Guessing from the size of the apparition I would assume this ghost was about the size of a teenager or so. Seeing this was a little weird because this was the first time I had ever seen this ghostlike figure. Submitted by anonymous       Category: home I was walking in the woods of Hawthorn Woods (my       neighborhood), and it was about 3.00am and I was out there with my flash light, and I was out there for about 30 min. when I heard a deep crackle of sticks, then I looked with my flash light and then there was nothing. So I kept on drawling. But then 20 min latter I was almost done and I heard some thing behind me, I looked and It was the drawling   I Drew but, It was right in front of Me!! It was real life. It was like they just jumped out of my paper into the woods. I mean I only heard stories about this when I would blog with all my other friends, but I didn't know it was true. Submitted by Tyler       Categories: woods, creatures In the year 1986-7 a ghost of a elderly man could be seen during the day hitching rides from people on u.s.40 near clayton one day he was picked up by a man and his daughter on u.s. 40 outside belleville the couple dropped the man off at dairyland in plainfield he opened the car door and the vanished into thin air. the daughter had to close the car door and the man was never seen again afterthat.
