Saint Anthony, Indiana Ghost Sightings - PAGE 11
(...continued from the previous page)|
I have seen and heard things, and have smelled perfume or pipe tobacco). But people would think us crazy if we said anything about what happens here or what we see so we don't say anything about it.
Heck it might just be the weather or something I don't know? It never bothered me and if it is ghost's, I figure they got as much right to be here as we have, maybe more.

Comment by Chelsea: I must say I don't believe this story is true. Considering that that farm is my great-great grandpa's farm the factory down the road our family business all of my family living within a mile of the area and growing up playing in every inch of said farm never experienced any of that.
You would think with the entire family hosting decades' worth of cookouts and get-togethers at the farm someone would've experienced this but I don't recall any. We all semi-jokingly say that Irp's ghost is what is keeping the house up but that's about as far as any ghost references go regarding it.
Comment by Tom and Dave: Well that explains a lot. We were driving in that area when our car broke down we coasted down the hill and pulled in to the drive way our fuel pump had gone out. When we were looking under the hood to try to find the problem we heard something like a scream but not really a scream, I can't explain what it sounded like but that's the closest thing it was like the gates of hell opened up.
We sit there for a while then it stopped. We got out and looked around but didn't see any thing so we tried to call a wrecker but there was no cell service. We started walking up the driveway to ask the owner to use the phone.
It was a long walk then we came to an old barn with a post light and we saw an old 30s model cars headlight coming around the barn we thought it might be the owner, and went to ask him to use the phone my friend is a car nut and he wanted to look at the car we walked in back of the barn but the car was nowhere to be seen.
My buddy said what the hell I know what I saw, I said I saw it too. I don't know where it went, then there was a big noise in the barn and the post light flickered. So we started walking away to find the house.
Finally we came to the house and saw the light on and knocked on the door. The guy came to the door and we told him we were broke down and asked to call a wrecker. He said let me go down and see where your at before I call the wrecker and see if it will start now if it won't we will call the wrecker and ill drive you home.
We went back down to the car and tried to start it but it still wouldn't start. The guy said turn the key on but don't try to start it he then took a tree limb and hit the bottom of the gas tank and said you can start it now well it started right up he said we needed a new fuel pump he said that happens a lot on that hill just keep it running and it will get you home.
After what I saw and what I have read here I don't know if that guy was real or if he was a ghost. He looked real but we told him what we saw and herd walking up to the house he just said yea that happens a lot around here.
That's why I did a search and found this site something was just spooky about that place. But the guy was very nice and kind . We both thank him for his help if he was a man or ghost.
Comment by Jay: Chelsea is talking about the wrong farm. The haunted farm is not the one next to the factory or where the factory sits. It is the first farm past the cross road on the same side before the farm by the factory and the next farm that she is talking about so rest easy never heard anything about your great great grandparents farm.
