Ghosts are so ordinary in this town; a lot of residents don’t even lose sleep about it any longer. Folks who have never stayed overnight in this municipality will tell you it's a pack of lies, but the phantoms of Allen are out tonight seeking someone to frighten.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
A woman with her legs amputated is regularly perceived howling at the onlooker to go away in Corn Fork Hollow at the stroke of midnight. A local resident claims that this phantom could be the spirit of a person who lived here who passed away here in Allen in the past.
A soldier's outfit walking around lacking a body in it has been said to have been noticed on one or two occasions chatting into the night as if someone besides was in attendance.
The ghost of a civil war warrior may be observed over and over again walking a Collie in the early

morning hours before sunrise on a gloomy Allen residential street.
The spirit of a severely charred lady is every now and then seen at the water's edge at Dewey Lake burrowing a nook. One of the folks who live here firmly asserts that this ghost may very well be a well-known days gone by resident of Allen.
The spirit of a guy having a name carved into his nose may occasionally be seen by Dewey Dam before dawn staring at the water.
