Ashland, Kentucky Ghost Tales

I live on Ballard Street for 17 years I lived on the corner where from the back yard I could see the cemetery on Belmont street. My mom and I believe that our House was haunted. Mainly upstairs in the hallway and downstairs (all of it) but especially in the kitchen area.
I remember being a child and hearing all kinds of strange noises and that feeling of not being alone and of someone watching you almost constantly. I have tried to find out if something happened in that House but I have been unsuccessful...
So I assume it is from the cemetery.

I lived here all my life 48 yrs. My grandma lived by the Ashland cemetery at nights we would go 4 walk by the cemetery we would hear strange noises come out from the cemetery it would scare us kids half to death. We would hear screams come out of the cemetery that would put cold chills up our spine.

Debord Hill is said to be haunted by a ghost who is believed to be a witch she was hanged and her spirit is said to haunt the woods leading up to Debord hill. I have been told a Story of two boys who were chased by her one night and a witness saw them being chased by her.

I live near the cemetery. I believe I have a poltergeist. Haven't seen anything but have heard a child crying and what sounds like someone running through the house. Also sometimes my kids toys will move around without being touched. This even happens when they aren't there.

I don't believed that the cemetery is haunted, at all. My grand mother and uncle are buried there. It's not nice to lie. Let the dead be dead, and if there soul is right with the lord Jesus, they don't want to come back at all.

My boyfriend and I lived on Belmont Street. Which is right across the street from the cemetary on Belmont street.
We moved in in July of 08 and stayed until June of 09. In our stay, we witnessed alot of activity. There were lots of what sounded like muffeled screams, whispers, hissing, and knocking and banging. No one wanted to ever stay here alone. I couldn't sleep if he wasn't home and he was the same way if I was gone working night shift. The cabinet doors were always opening by themselves. The water would turn on by itself and the toilet would flush on its own. We saw shadowy figures quite a bit and heard our names called quite often. The kitchen was downstairs, it was called a summer's kitchen. It was not a great area. I hated to be down there by myself but found myself drawn to it anyway. This house is very active especially around late August for some reason.
