Bellevue, Kentucky Ghost Tales I was renting an apartment on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue when I was a single guy. The building appeared to be an old coach house connected to the property behind it. Everyone in the building felt a sense of being watched. One night, while watching television, a pair of pants sitting on my table flew across the room. At night I would wake from terrifying dreams about a little girl telling me not to go downstairs, because the man that lived there didn't want us there. I've seen lights flicker on and off, the bathroom sink turn on by itself and heard slamming against the wall just behind my bed. On the other side of that wall was the bathroom. From the start of Kentucky 8, curving up 1997 going toward Alexandria, and back down the old route toward in Melbourne. . . Several bodies were washed ashore the Cincinnati River, and too many teen's lives were       taken on this shifting road over the years.? And the Mafia's enemies' remains. . . that road would be a bad place to be with no gas in your car at night (as my old high school friend and I nearly encountered one night last summer). Although, I can't say I've seen transparent hitch hikers, or ghosts stirring up some trouble, seeing isn't believing.   . .? It's knowing. Dare: pull up to the rail road tracks that crosses entrance to a private drive somewhere along the route at midnight, it'll stall your engine. . . shhh, wait quietly. keep your car in neutral. eventually your car will roll off the tracks on it's own. If you put a light sprinkle of dish soap or baby powder on your bumper, you'll see little hand prints. Legend has it, a school bus of children were crossing the same tracks many years ago. The engine suddenly staled out, and a train came barreling into the bus. Now, the children are there, in spirit, keeping the tragedy from happening to anyone else. .
