My grandfather often worked late downstairs. I was 7 or 8 and my grandmother sent me to get him for dinner. I was looking for him and saw someone in the hallway going into the lounge. There is only one door to that lounge. I went in and was alone and freezing. I ran to the front door and my Grandpa was smoking a cigarette with nearly nothing but the filter remaining. After that I only felt safe sleeping     in the same room or bed as my grandparents. I will never forget the person who was not there.
