A woman with the head of a beast was seen late in the night drifting down on Barn Branch. The phantom was unconcerned that there was somebody else there. A female gripping her head beneath her arm emerged at the stroke of midnight studying Cranks Gap in detail. When the onlooker came into view the ghost ran off. The ghost of a young lady dressed in a blood-splattered dress was observed drinking soda pop near Beech Spring at night. The appearance of the onlooker alarmed the phantom who then faded away. One thing's for sure, this is an unsympathetic phantom that any sane person wouldn't want to encounter.
