The ghosts of this settlement don’t leave anyone unscared. The ghost of an old cleaning lady can often be seen smoking a pipe in Breaks Interstate Park before dawn.

A dark crow that shifted shape into a woman may be witnessed frequently at Abes Fork in the early morning hours before sunrise chucking chunks of concrete into the water.

The ghost of a homeless guy has every so often been spotted looking for a person up on the peak of Beaver Knob. One thing is for certain, this is an unsympathetic ghost that any sound person wouldn't wish to meet.

The phantom of a youthful cowboy is sometimes witnessed weeping in Axel Hollow before dawn. If you talk to the locals, this ghost is that of a local resident who existed here in Elkhorn City long ago. Either way, it's a menacing ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The ghost of a silver-miner has been said to have been distinguished on several occasions on an Elkhorn City avenue after midnight. Scores of locals claim this phantom takes pleasure in startling unwise folks who come seeking phantoms in Elkhorn City.
