A lady with a machete sticking out of her head is often observed down at the waterfront at Middleton Lake screaming at the observer to disappear. In any event, this is an unfriendly ghost that is rather not disturbed. The ghost of a woman with a bag strapped around her head has purportedly been witnessed on frequent instances staring at the view from the highest spot of Joe Knob in the early morning hours. A half translucent guy outfitted as the captain of a vessel may be distinguished frequently chucking rocks in Boggs Hollow before sunrise. Whatever people say, it's a bloodcurdling spirit that you don't want to encounter before dawn.
