Fort Campbell, Kentucky Ghost Tales | |
|
Me and my husband do ghost huntings and investigation. It actually all started because of our own house here in Old Lee Village. While my husband was in afghanistan. We would go to sleep with our cam's focused on our beds. So that we could watch each other sleep. One night my phone started ringing, I heard my messenger going off I turned on the light and answered my phone. My husband thought the house was on fire. He said there were flames stretching along the roof and around the bed and a figure was looming over the bed. Too him it looked very solid and real. Since then we have done voice recordings, were we have asked questions. Play back has revealed giggling in the background, voices responded to our questions. One that terrified me was when I said ''Hello my name is Candy is anyone there?'' and a clear distinct voice is heard saying ''hello'' back.
This has led us to begin to investigate other homes on Ft. Campbell, and the local area. We are compiling a book and working on catching in both photo's, recordings, and on video actual

Ron, I currently work in the building that you spoke about... I also heard several stories and I laughed it off, too. I've had several experiences since I've been working in this office

(3 dealing with door-knobs). I hope you read this posting and maybe we can share some of our experiences. I have thought about talking to a historian and even calling TAPS, but I am still kind of skeptical. Please reply!. Submitted by Ana Category: building
While stationed there, in 1983, I was assigned to post guard at what I later found out to be the old WW2 hospital/psych ward. I had heard all kinds of stories & ghost stories, but I dismissed them as total BS and other soldiers trying to scare the new recruit. On the second night, some of the guys were talking about things they had seen and heard. I was laying across the top of one of the bunk beds, listening, when suddenly the light directly above me turned off then a second later turned back on. All of the other guys were looking up at me when the same light started quickly going on and off. After about six or seven times, it stopped and the string was swaying back and forth. There's NO WAY anyone of the other guys could have been pulling

the string without my knowing it. The next day we saw & heard the door knobs being quickly turned, down the hallway connecting our two sleeping areas/bays. None of us had been using the rooms as sleeping areas, but what made it even more unnerving was that several of us actually laid down on the floor to look under the doors, as the handles were being turned,--and there were no shadows or feet in view. I, and two other guys, had also seen several people walking down a long hallway connecting two old, red-brick buildings. All of the people, mostly men, were in military uniforms ranging from WW2 to Vietnam. Over the course of about 10 days, I, and several others, had seen things ranging from lights going on and off to much more...dramatic occurrences. Many of the more dramatic/frightening occurrences happened around or in the immediate area of the old psych ward.
