Fort Knox, Kentucky Ghost Tales | |

I used to work in the MWR building known as the ''alamo'' because the front of the building looks like the alamo in Texas. i was told that during the civil war it was used as a hospital. The basement is very damp and has a very distinct smell hard to explain but you know it smells like a morge and in fact was used as one. The building does not keep any temperture well, always etiher hot or cold, but remains a constant temp in the basement. Also at night on the main floor people working late have seen a man and a woman around the fireplace. People have heard unexplained footsteps going up and

I am a current contractor on Ft. Knox. I travel through out the base and work many days until dusk. I have twice seen a single confederate looking soilder about 4-6 feet standing in the woods just looking at my pass. I have seen him off Brandenburg Station Rd. the first left at the rail road tracks, go down about 1 1/2 miles on the left before the tank range. Submitted by Dan
Back in 1983, my husband was tranferred to Ft. Knox. We were a young family with an infant son who was about four months old. We were in need of housing and were

informed of the Wickham Guest House on base. It was quite comfortable and our room had NO WINDOWS. One particular night, we began to settle down for the night. The lights were off and that made the
room very dark. The baby had fallen asleep in my arms as I layed in the dark on the bed. As I inched my way towards the foot of the bed (where our son's porta crib was placed), I began to bend over
in order to place him inside the crib. It was at that time that several balls of light danced over our son's body. The sight was quite frightening and looked like several small flashlights pointed straight
at a face while continually moving. Frightened by the sight, I dropped my son into the crib and rushed to towards the back of the bed/headboard. My husband then rushed in the dark towards our son and
grabbed him as a scrame in fear. We were both stunned and confused. To this day, we have always wondered if anyone at the Wickahm House has seen anything like what we had seen and were always curious
as to know more about what we had seen. We have since discovered that what we saw were orbs, entities; which are attracted to children. Submitted by Nancy
Noises around Fort Know aren't ghosts
or paranormal they are the cannon fire from the fort itself. I lived 10 miles away from the Fort and could still hear the cannons. You don't know where its coming because the firing range is unknown except
for the soldiers there. Submitted by anonymous
