In 1979 I lived on 8th Avenue as an army wife. My former husband was an older man, whom I met when I was a student at the University of Louisville. The two years I lived there were the worst of my life. Even in the winter, it always felt like the room was next to an oven. Late at night I would hear someone in the back street (the main road to the hospital) screaming in pain, but when I looked there was never anyone there.
One night my former husband went into the basement, and he suddenly yelled. He told me a ''ball of light'' came out of the back wall and flew right into his forehead. He said right after that he felt like he was on fire. For the next six months, he would get meaner and meaner. He would drink late, go to the Rocker Inn, and always yell at me. His clothes and his hair smelled like it was burnt, but they never looked that way.
Then one day he snapped and slapped me. I lay on the floor crying. Then he went into the basement to drink. The next morning I went to talk to him, but he had died of a heart attack. When the doctors performed the autopsy they said he had a brain tumor that caused his blood pressure to go up, resulting in a massive coronary event. I moved out of that house and remarried. I believe whatever flew into his head that night is what killed him.

First off, I was a huge skeptic of anything paranormal... But not now! I lived on-base at Pressler Grove for a little less than two years. When we first moved in our neighbors warned us about ''ghostly activity'' and other weird phenomena that would occur during the night, especially between 2-3 am. I thought nothing of this and wrote it off, though I did notice the heavy footsteps you would hear nightly going down our hall. I wrote it off as our neighbors' and the houses in Pressler Grove are connected. Then the neighbors PCS'd, and there was almost a year of no one living next door. That's when the activity really picked up.
