Horse Cave, Kentucky Ghost Tales    I moved in this house about two year ago on Guthrie st., When I move in we started smelling perfume in parts of the house. Then we started seeing shadows moving from room to room . We also smell Cigars here. We hear people talking late at night . When there is nobody here but us. Several times me and my wife have gone outside at night and seen an old man walking around the yard smoking cigars. When I say something to him he just put the cigar out, Then looks at me and smiles and then he's gone . I have got a lot of picture of him and of who or whatever is in our house. The undead are everywhere in this town as the locals will reveal. A number of locals assert these tales are untrue, but everyone who resides in Horse Cave is not alive. The ghost of an appallingly mangled huntsman dragging a dead cougar is frequently perceived in a Horse Cave area store, marching the aisles. The ghost of a youthful woman with a cable around her neck has been said to have been seen on frequent occasions before dawn soaring over Hatcher Valley. A guy lacking a head can regularly be witnessed seated at a coffee table in a Horse Cave residence consuming a cracker. According to what the local residents declare, this ghost is almost certainly the stressed ghost of a local resident who used to live here in Horse Cave. The ghost of an old gold digger with       a big beard and a hook instead of his left hand can be made out often by Lawler Bend downing milk. The spirit of a flight attendant has sometimes been perceived on the summit of Bald Knob in the early morning hours before sunrise monitoring the panorama. Scores of residents claim this spirit is the undeparted soul of a long dead Horse Cave person   who lived here. The ghost of an aged cleaning lady is every so often seen hurling pieces of wood into the stream at Blue Spring Creek very late at night. Local people who have distinguished this ghost allege this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while passing through Horse Cave some decades ago. The ghost of a young woman clothed as a house keeper can once in a while be observed marching through a building in Horse Cave.
