An exceptionally scary phantom was seen frightening folks in Buckhorn Lake State Park outside the park headquarters. Panic stricken by the observers the ghost withdrew into the shadows. Several of those who live here allege this phantom likes terrifying foolish people who are fearless enough to disturb the quiet in Hyden.
The ghost of an old prospector with a sizeable beard and an eye patch has often been noticed in a residence in Hyden. In any case, it certainly is a terrifying ghost that any sound person wouldn't wish to come across.
