A local man alleges that this ghost is almost certainly the tormented ghost of a local resident who used to have a home here in La Center. Anyway, it unquestionably is a creepy ghost that is preferably not messed with. A decapitated gentleman can sometimes be observed in Ballard State Waterfowl Management Area at midnight hauling a body over the grass. In any event, this spirit undoubtedly is bloodcurdling; one that you do not want to run into around midnight.
