Lexington, Kentucky Ghost Tales In our home there are several ghosts. I have researched my property and found that it was part of what was known as Fairlawn Farm what we have encountered is the ghost of general withers sits in our living room in a rocking chair smoking a pipe. Also a young girl spends a lot of time looking out our daughters 2nd floor bedroom window as if she is waiting for someone to arrive. A visitor of psychic ability has told me, she waits for a rider to come over the hill. Also there is a black gentleman who enters our kitchen believed to be a deliverer of goods from the store. Every night two shadows one that of a man and a woman are seen each night walking beside our house then walking up our back stairs disappearing into the upstairs back door. We not only have seen this, but a neighbor has seen the couple. There is also a babies cry in the night at times. Also I have heard strange sounds as if something is occurring in the other room, going to look only to find nothing happening. Also a child calls out ''mommy''. My daughter has seen a black dog figure in her       bedroom door. On several occasions, someone likes to play card games like solitary on our television and we have no control over the remote. Once a couple of weeks ago, I had tested the chlorine level in our swimming pool, making a mistake I let the children enter all of a sudden the side of the pool was pushed down by someone unseen, as if there were   three people pushing down very hard to let the water escape as if a warning to the children to get out. A black cat crawls into bed with my neighbor every night, but she doesn't own one. My cousin who lived across the street used to hear people arguing in her hallway at night. My home consists of myself and my husband and three children. Sometimes the dogs bark in the hallway upstairs looking up as if there is someone there. At times our hair stands up on the back of our necks or a cool breeze passes unexplainably. A couple who used to live with us at 330 in the morning one night she felt someone choking her very hard with one hand and the other on her chest to prevent her from getting up, that has also happened the same way when a religious man slept over to him. I don't know why they are here or who they are but they are. Some of the dead don't want to stay underground in this city. Not everybody believes in the accounts the people who live here tell, but seeing is believing and if you spend a night here in Lexington, you may well spot a spirit.
