Meally, Kentucky Ghost Tales


In the daytime the people who live here in Meally, Kentucky do their thing exactly equal to anywhere else, but beneath the surface there are peculiar things going on. The ghosts of this town don’t leave anyone unalarmed. Not everybody believes in the stories the folks who live here tell, but Meally is filled with undeparted spirits just waiting to give you a good scare.

The ghost of a train driver has once in a while been observed up on Bettys Knob smoking a pipe. In any case, this phantom certainly
 
    is creepy; one that you shouldn't go trying to find.

The ghost of a dreadfully mangled huntsman dragging a dead bear is sometimes observed at Dewey Dam very late at night looking at the scenery.
  No matter what, this is an unsympathetic ghost that should be steered clear of.

The phantom of a young lady with a rope around her neck has been perceived on a few occasions on the water's edge of Dewey Lake grasping a human headbone. Residents here argue that this ghost is most likely the undead ghost of a local person who used to reside here in Meally. One thing's for sure, it's undoubtedly a scary spirit that is better not messed with.

A very frightening ghost may every now and then be spotted at Akers Branch at midnight heaving rocks into the water. In any event, this is an antagonistic
spirit that you wouldn't want to run into at the stroke of midnight.

The ghost of an old woman holding a shot gun has repeatedly been noticed searching through the freezer in the kitchen of a Meally flat after midnight. One of the people who live here confidently declares that this ghost is the stressed soul of a former Meally local person.
