Custom Search Pikeville, Kentucky Ghost Sightings Pikeville PAGE 1   2   3   4   5     When I was a small child I was staying in my aunt darkus House -in Pikeville KY -this happened around 1952- no one else was there at the time - which seems strange but I was asleep, and awoke to a very loud sound of chains and men shouting - it sounded like they were in the small house- I ran through the rooms and no one was there. It was so real and so loud - it really frightened me. I found out that there was a coal mining     Accident years earlier and Many men had died in the mine- aunt darkus's House was built right up against the Mountain side and you Only had walking room between the House and the side of the Rock mountain. I have never forgotten that incident- and it makes me a believer of strange phoenomena.
