Ransom, Kentucky is an outwardly common place provided that the sun shines in the sky, but when the spooky shadows of the night float in the living dead take over. The spirits of this city don’t leave anyone unscared. A number of locals claim there are no spirits, but not everyone of the locals of Ransom are breathing.

The spirit of a guy with words engraved into his leg has occasionally been distinguished before sunrise conducting a guided tour of Hatfield Bottom to a collection of spirits. Anyway, this is an unlikable spirit that should be avoided.
The ghost of the driver of a train is every so often distinguished reading a book at Chafin Branch Dam before dawn. People who have spotted this ghost say this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while traveling through Ransom some decades ago.
A female without a head has supposedly been observed on numerous instances in Blackberry Fork Park late at night looking

for somebody. A local resident claims that this ghost is that of a local who settled here in Ransom many years ago. In any event, it sure is a frightening spirit that is better not messed with.
A man with no head may sometimes be seen sobbing by Abbey Branch. Several of the residents allege this ghost likes scaring folks who come trying to find ghosts in Ransom.
The ghost of an aged gold digger with a sizeable mustache and a wooden leg has frequently been witnessed up on Cow Knob staring.
