Stoney Fork, Kentucky Ghost Tales

A young man about the age of 18 was killed in a vehicle accident about 5 years ago at the stoneyfork/redbird line. The young man was under the influence of alcohol some say, others say it was cold and in mid December and that the icy road conditions caused the young man to wreck. Others say that they know that without a doubt the young man wrecked trying to swerve and miss the figure he saw through his windshield standing in the median. It was obvious from the cars position over a guard rail that he had indeed tried to miss an object in the road and slid on the ice. It is said that late in December on cold snowy evenings in Stone fork toward the Redbird line an early feeling can be felt as one drives bye if they are going to fast, or intoxicated, or it may just be to warn them to pay close attention for the headless lady rumored to haunt the Stoney Fork community.
