They had raised four girls and me. I am not sure when it started but growing up there were footsteps that seemed to come from nowhere. The footsteps were upstairs and seemed to walk up the steps and across the back bedroom. It was a small but comfortable home. It had several rooms downstairs. Upstairs there were two bedrooms and one     large closet. The footsteps always seemed to be in the rear bedroom and occasionally going up the stairs. I was never afraid. I had lived there all of my life so I guess I was just used to it. Mom always said it was nothing to be afraid of but it did seem to bother her. Mostly I was just extremely curios. I can't count the number of times when mom dad a cousin other family member or a guest was there and we would all hear the footsteps. Whatever made them definitely was not shy.
