In any case, it's a menacing ghost that you do not want to bump into in the early morning hours before sunrise. The ghost of a guy outfitted as a gardener was observed in Cornwell Field late at night burying a dead   body by a big boulder. This ghost is very active in this area; there have been numerous other stories of this particular ghost. It has been declared that this exact ghost is the tormented spirit of a long dead West Point resident.
