Winchester, Kentucky Ghost Sightings - PAGE 7
(...continued from the previous page)|
Comment by Anonymous: Sir, I lived on Wades Mill about 3 years ago, and I saw something similar. I saw a grey Civil War soldier in a field during my first hike in the woods. I only saw the upper half of him about from the waist up! I found this because I was looking up Winchester ghosts to see if someone else witnessed something like I did. Just so happens that you did- even on the same road that I live on. I have some other scary experiences on this road. I barely had fear when I saw the apparition. He seemed peaceful and like he was there to help me.
Comment by Chad: Thanks for the info. That area was a hot bed for skirmish and camp activity. Who knows maybe the war never ended for them, and they're still at it 160 years later?.

I lived on Sycamore growing up and stayed deathly ill in that house and always felt like there was someone or something staring at me in the bedroom upstairs on the left. You could always hear someone walking up the stairs when no one was there at all.
Very spooky creepy house. I now live in a house a couple of blocks away from sycamore in the same neighborhood and have witnessed some very unusual and strange things in this house. I had to bless this place 3 years ago due to paranormal activity, things have settled for the most but there's always that occasional shadow figure that likes to peek around the corner.
Now I'm finding out that there are more hauntings in this area by neighbors and other people. I would love to find out the history of this place and what it used to be years ago.
