Baldwin, Michigan Ghost Tales During a recent salmon fishing trip I was staying at the DayStar Motel north of Baldwin and saw a ghost.  I heard what I thought was my son turning over in his bed across from mine at 11:30 pm on Sept. 25th.  I thought he was getting up to go to the bathroom which was next to my bed.  When I looked up, I saw a young lady in 1970's or 80's casual attire standing by his bed and suddenly she ''walked'' (I didn't notice her head bobbing up and down as if a normal walk) the 2-3 steps from next to his bed to the foot of my bed. I couldn't believe it.  She was just opaque enough to know that it wasn't an actual young woman (about 28-34) in our room.  I wanted her to disappear which after 10-15 long seconds she slowly (much slower than i would have liked - probably 5-7 seconds) dematerialized before my eyes, again, standing on the left side of my bed near my feet.  She was not really hostile in expression, but certainly not friendly or radiating peacefulness.  By the way she suddenly moved toward me when she saw that I was awake I'm thinking she may have       considered me an intruder, but am not sure.  I did not tell my son about it until we were leaving two days later on Saturday, 9/26. I wish I knew ''her'' story.  I did tell Lisa (owner) and she seemed interested and equally surprised, and will admit that I felt silly the entire walk to the motel office to tell her about my experience.  Am interested   to know if anyone else has had experience with this mystery motel lady. The man was dancing on the old dance floor in the now dining area when he had a heart attack and died.  He is said to be seen on occasion and sometimes makes noises that are heard by the employees.  He has not yet done anything harmful and should not be feared. So next time you stop in to eat make sure you say hello. Submitted by George       Categories: hotel, man Long ago there was an older man that always went out hunting in the woods near cedar creek he always had to pass over the creek in order to get to his hunting spot and one day he had fallen in the creek and drowned and now his spirit can be found walking up and down the creek making a moning noise and he doesnt want anyone to pass the creek because he guards his sacret hunting spot. one not to be reckoned with.
