This area is very rich in history with a time span of Early settlement which equals or supercedes bellevue. Near kalamo there are numerous old farm houses. Many of them built near or on the original building sites of log Cabins dating from the late 1830's and 1840's. I purchased such a Home in 1981. The House being built around 1890 very near the location of the original log cabin which stood on the site in the mid 1800's.
