This Story is related to that Home and May or May not be tied to the history of the area. In the years before I was born there was a horrible crime that was committed. There was a murder of a Man in one of the homes. The Man was shot and kept in his Home wrapped in a mattress in an upstairs closet. The room was boarded closed and the wife of the husband tried to feed     his dead body soup in desperation. We had Many strange incidents happen in the Home when we lived there. My mother tells me that she remembers while cleaning out the upstairs closets (on several occasions) she would hear someone coming up the steps. She believed it to be a visitor or one of her children but when she called out there was no response. She jumped up to see who could be outside of the closet and there was no one on the entire floor.
